Deli By Shell’s partnership with Ciro has lasted many years and has proven to be the perfect collaboration with Ciro providing the signature coffee blend that has delighted many customers nationwide.
Heat 1 was a virtual competition where contestants were tasked with taking a video at their respective branches wherein they had to display the different steps to making a delicious cappuccino. The judging criteria was based on who could prepare the best latte art and there was some remarkable creativity on showcase from all competitors! Contestants then moved on to Heat 2 wherein the various regions competed amongst themselves – Limpopo/Mpumalanga, Gauteng, KZN, EC all competed – They submitted a 30 Second video making a cappuccino – regional winners were then selected and the 5 finalists were then selected for the big day!

The big day was on August 15th 2022 and the finals took place in Shell Phumelela, Randburg. Finalists flew in from various regions; a very detailed induction took place led by Lani Snyman representing Ciro Coffee Academy, who explained the format of the competition. Each contestant had to prepare the perfect cappuccino and his or her very own signature beverage. The contestants showed up and showed out and judging was very fierce. When all was said and done 3 lucky winners were selected each winning a cash prize and a voucher for future coffee & product, sponsored by Ciro.
