The Lavazza South Africa Barista Championship is a thrilling competition that brings together talented baristas from all over the country.
It’s an opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of coffee-making techniques, creativity in latte art, and overall passion for the craft.
Whether you’re an experienced barista or just starting your journey, this challenge is open to all baristas in South Africa who want to test their skills and learn from the best.
The local winner will walk away with an all-expenses paid trip to Turin, Italy to represent South Africa in the Lavazza International Championship finals in April 2025 .
The international winner will receive a cash prize of € 5 000, and a supporting package to the World SCA Championships. This includes access to the exclusive Lavazza 1895 coffee collection and online mentor coaching.
The competition will take place on 11 December 2024 at Ciro in Bryanston. Note that attending the local leg of the competition is entirely at your own expense.
